Groundbreaking Ceremony

Trinity Presbyterian Church in Tacoma is breaking ground on the Bryant Neighborhood Center, an exciting addition to our church and neighborhood. This revitalized space will open our doors even wider to our community, and allow us to continue to be a place of significant care and compassion in our Bryant Neighborhood for many years to come.
We have a wonderful lineup of speakers representing the past, present and future of Trinity and the BNC in the community:
Youth advocate and Trinity programs alumni, John Gaines will share about the Trinity’s history of service in the community.
The present will be represented by Victoria Woodards, Mayor of Tacoma and Keith Blocker, City Council Member.
Committed donor, Holly Bamford, Director of the Bamford Foundation will share why the foundation gives to the Bryant Neighborhood Center, and believes in its future.
What will the Bryant Neighborhood Center do?
Bryant Neighborhood Center is a commitment to PLACE, PEOPLE, & POSSIBILITY. We believe in the importance of growing deep roots, connecting our neighbors, and community that inspires hope. We are a community hub that links local residents with high quality resources and programs, where young minds learn and grow, relationships are formed, and basic needs are met, while amplifying residents’ vision for the community.
The Bryant Neighborhood Center will provide academic tutoring, educational support, and care for early elementary children through middle school. We will also offer weekly community conversations around a shared meal, and new partnerships, including Children's Museum of Tacoma, around their Play to Learn program for children and their caregivers, and Tacoma Rescue Mission, through intake services which will support families and individuals experiencing homelessness.
